two college freshmen-Shirley and Albert went to swim along the pacific coast.They plunged into the rough surf with Albert leading and they swam lazily in the calm waters for a while happy they were free from academic work for a while,what neither knew was that there was a great shark homing in the depths.
The great white shark is the most fearsome killer in the animal kingdom,having a length of 15feetand weighing 1000kg,it has teeth capable of cutting a man into pieces.It is what can be called a serial killer.
Shirley heard a scream as a giant form rose in the air and descended on albert,his head disappeared under watercrimsoned in bloodand then reappeared,his face contorted in pain,'getaway shirley',he shrieked,'get away it is a shark'.......
Shirley's heart skipped for a momentwhile evry fibre in her screamed at her to get away. She turned towards shore with the terror that death would come for her next in the water.Suddenly she stopped swimming for shore,heading back towards the crimson water where the shark was still trashing,back where the water boiled and churned ,filled with albert's blood,she swam back to her friend albert.She drew back in horrow because his arm had been torn from his body.Definitely, the shark would return to ttack again and this young girl hadevery reason to save herself,but she did not.Swimminng closer to albert she put her arms around his chest and said'al,lie still, don't try to swim'.ON her back and stroking with her free hand she slowly and painfully towed albert to shore leaving a blood trail that could attract maneatersof allkinds,yet she clung to him.
Waves were breaking over her head and her feet touched the bottombut she could go no further.Raising her weak voice she cried for help and noone heard her as she started sinking.Thanks for fisherman joe who threw his line to her and wrapping it around her waist,he dragged her and her torn,bleeding burden to shore.,
People came running from all directions but it was obvious albert could not survive,dragging herself to her faith shirley prayed for albert and he confessed his sins to God before taking his last breath.
Imagine if shirley had left albert to die at sea, one soul would have been lost forever since albert was an atheist,but that wasaverted because of genuine love.I wouldnleave you with this word, save a soul today while you are still on earth ADIEU.

CONTINATION OF MESSAGE OF HOPE

...... next spring ,with one of her grand children with her,she looked outside the window and she almost fainted at the sight that befell her.With the supp;rt of her walking stick she staggered out with her grandchild and she saw a PURE WHITE MARIGOLD amidst all the faint yellow flowers. I read the story of how white marigold flowers were originated recently and i learn t a message in perseverance.Below is the story of WALDO EMERSON
Emerson read in the dailies that there was needed urgently white marigold flowers from which other colors could be combined easily.At that time there were only blue, yellow and pink colors of the flower.Waldo heard this and gathered all the faintest yellow seeds of marigold she could get and she planted them. Her kids laughed at her diligence and her husband to joined them.Year in and year out when it was summer she collected the seeds of the faintest yellow flower she could get and she planted them in preparation for spring.
Year in year out,she continued gathering seeds and replanting,the yellow flowers grew fainter and fainter but there was no pure white marigold flower in her little cottage garden.Her husband grew old and died, her children married and she was left alone with a maid, yet the yellow flowers just grew fainter and fainter but there was no white marigold.Many times she was discouraged and felt like giving up but she decided to keep on trying and she reasoned rightly that since she had been on it for so long she would keep on trying till death so she gathered seeds of the faintest yellow flower and she planted them amidst the other thousands of marigold flowers...........

A CRI DE COEUR
As a university undergraduate in OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY nigeria, i cannot but express my unhappiness at the spate of educational imbalance and the non chalant attitude of our leaders and the citizenry of to the moribund state of tertiary education in the most populous black nation on earth despite the fact that the finance is available but due to bad fiscal policies we students are in a sorry state.
Despite the fact that we have a so called legislature that knows nothing but frittering away our public funds on white elephant projects and a juridico legal system that knows nothing but boohaha,vituperative comments and acts which are inimical and detrimental to the well being of the nation. it is also sad to say that the long arms of the law has been amputated and our once burgeoning economic system is in disarray.
WHEN, OH WHEN SHALL WE BE FREE,,,,,,,,,,,,,
